first_imgThe Cebu City Sports Commission (CCSC) yesterday formed a team that will oversee and implement the grassroots Strength and Conditioning program that is geared towards developing the full potential of the local athletes.CCSC chairman Edward Hayco informed Cebu Daily News yesterday that the team will be headed by Dr. Rhoel James Timothy Dejano with Pio Solon, Commissioner Suzette Gocotano and Abellana National School football head coach Francis Ramirez serving as members of the team.ADVERTISEMENT The first meeting of the team was held yesterday at the Abellana National School.“We see it as a landmark program and will be a turning point for public school athletes to have a rare opportunity to be trained by specialists in the field of strength and conditioning, sports nutrition, injury prevention and sport science,” Hayco said. “The team will create a program specifically designed for public school coaches and athletes.
