first_img“Usually clubs are having to ask their members to assist with fund raising drives to help with on-going running costs but this fund will hopefully help lessen that burden.“A total of 60k has been set aside by Councils Health and Community directorate to fund this initiative with each club eligible to apply for a maximum of £2000 each.“This fund is aimed at clubs who own and maintain facilities and speaking to some of them over the last few days they widely welcome the establishment of this fund and the opportunity to apply.“This will be a one-off programme delivered this year but something that I have suggested to council officers that we should be looking at for future years.
