Fujifilm releases a slew of new cameras including the noteworthy HS20EXR F550EXR

first_imgFujifilm just released at least 16 new camera models (that we know about) and a few of them are worth taking note of. Most of the announcement is comprised of the run-of-the-mill point-and-shoots you’ll find at big box retailers, but a few of the models will actually interest the geeks out there.The first model, pictured above, is the FinePix HS20EXR. It’s a high-end fixed lens superzoom with a 16 MegaPixel EXR-CMOS sensor, 30x optical zoom, 1080p video recording, 8 frames-per-second still shooting, and a 320 fps high-speed mode. If you are looking for a reason not to buy a DSLR, this is it. The full details are available from Fujifilm.AdChoices广告The HS20EXR will be available in late March 2011 and will sell for $500.The next Fujifilm that caught our eye is the FinePix F550EXR. This has 15x optical zoom and a 16 MP EXR-CMOS, proving that Fujifilm does not believe the Megapixels Wars are over yet. This camera also has 1080p video capture, 12 fps burst shooting, and 320 fps high-speed video, plus it has GPS on-board so you’ll be able to geotag your photos. In addition to the F550EXR there is the F500EXR which drops the GPS and shoots at up to 11 fps. More details here.These cameras will sell for $349 (F550EXR) and $329 (F500EXR). Expect to seem them available in mid-March 2011.The final notable camera (though far from the final camera) from Fujifilm is the XP30. This is a rugged camera with an interesting shape and built in GPS. This model features “four-way” protection and is water-proof to 16.5ft, shock-proof to 5ft, freeze-proof to 14°F, dust-proof. It shoots at 14MP, has a 2.7-inch display, has 5x optical zoom, and comes in a number of colors including green, black, blue, and orange. It shoots video at 720p. The lesser model–the XP20–is the same camera but drops the GPS.
